International Belting and Marketing, is a totally market driven business and our core success has been based on exemplary service to our customers.

International Belting & Marketing’s Head Office is based in Durban, enabling us to expedite quick and efficient import and distribution logistics. Durban’s Head Office is fully equipped for warehousing and converting.

Located at Springs, 60km east of central Johannesburg, we have a branch office fully equipped for warehousing, converting and distribution.

We have the privilege of being a black empowered supplier of conveyor belting to various mining houses, sugar industries and quarries in the Republic. The company also exports belting to other countries.

All our shareholders/directors are employed by the company and hold strategic positions within the organization. The company was especially created, developed and staffed from the very beginning with personnel who have their roots in conveyor belt technology.

At present Interflex is a registered trademark which is marketed worldwide with the most successful being in Africa supplying companies such as Zisco Steel (Zimbabwe), Ongopolo (Namibia), Mopani Copper Mine (Zambia) and Tarkwa (Ghana). The companies in South Africa include Eskom, Kumba Resources, Lonmin Group, Impala Platinum, Rio Tinto Group, Goldfields, Harmony, Aquarius Platinum and the Anglo Group all of which can attest to our pricing delivery and service over the past fifteen years.

Stock

We are the largest stockholders of conveyor belting in the Southern Hemisphere. The company carries large stocks of conveyor belting from Class 250 to Class 1250. Our range includes Polyester-Nylon (fabric) and Steelcord belting in all grades (Oil Resistant, Flame Resistant, Heat Resistant, Chemical Resistant, Cut and Gouge Resistant etc).

Service

We provide a full technical back-up service with our technical staff doing on-site belt recommendations with maintenance charts and pride ourselves in the methods we use to determine premature belt failure and have a sophisticated conveyor program to determine correct belt specifications and problems.

We are able to offer stability of prices, as we will buy forward cover to stabilize prices.

Lead Times

We are the largest stockholders of conveyor belting in the Southern Hemisphere. We have full slitting and rolling facilities in Natal and Gauteng with both Warehousing keeping stock. For items that are not part of our stock holding, we would require sufficient time for us to order the belting, normal delivery of these items can vary from:

  • Fabric – 8 to 10 weeks – 10 to 12 weeks (depending on quantity ordered)
  • Steel-cord – 10 to 12 – 12 to 14 weeks (depending on quantity ordered)
  • We are also negotiable to holding stock items that are critical to yourselves.

Traceability

Raw material suppliers and acquisition and manufacturing are fully determined by and controlled within the mandate requirements as noted by ISO9001. This means that raw materials are sourced and supplied to the specified requirements with full traceability as required by the certification.
